Writing Group - Writing War

Help your team vie for the highest word counts in a series of writing battles and get more than a few words under your NaNo writer's belt! Join the fast-paced writing fun!

Join in on our National Novel Writing Month (NaNo) fun by participating in the Writing Wars!

• You’ll get one of BCPL’s NaNo tickets for each Writing War you participate in, and that means extra chances to win in our NaNo drawing on Wednesday, 6 December at 7 p.m. (See the National Novel Writing Month contest rules for details.)

To Sign-up:

• Sign-up between Monday, 2 Oct 2023 and Monday, 13 Nov 2023.
• Sign-up:
  • online by registering directly for this National Novel Writing Month event
  • by indicating you participating on one or both of the Writing Wars when you register for BCPL's National Novel Writing Month, month-long event

What you'll need at the event:

• a computer or other writing device (even pencil and paper works, but if you don't have your own device, the library has a limited number of laptops available for use during the event)
• a way to do a quick word count on your device, (e.g. a word processing program that can count your words, or a method for quickly adding a word count on pencil and paper)
