2025 Summer Reading Challenge

  1. Register at the Library between June 2nd & July 12th. Receive a free book (while supplies last).
  2. Pick up an Activity Log. Complete the activities on the log.
  3. Turn in your completed activity log and choose a small prize. 
  4. Pick up another Activity Log. You may complete a total of 4 logs, but will only be entered into the grand prize drawing once.

Activity Logs must be turned in by August 2nd. The grand prize drawings will be held on August 4th.

Books, Babies, and Bubbles

Books, Babies, and Bubbles

Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. ages 0-2

Books, babies, and bubbles is an outdoor storytime on the plaza. Bring your outdoor chairs or picnic blankets and enjoy 20-30 minutes of stories, songs, and fingerplays followed by outdoor playtime with chalk and bubbles. Children need to be accompanied by an adult. Event is weather dependent. Chalk and bubbles provided. No registration and you do not need a library card to attend.

Schedule as follows (select Wednesdays):

Summer Storytime

Mondays & Tuesdays at 10:30 & 11:30 a.m. ages 3-6 years

Classes will include stories, activities, songs, games, and a craft and last 45 minutes. Children need to be accompanied by an adult. You do not need a library card to attend but registration is required as class size is limited.

(Please note classes during the same week will feature the same stories, songs, and craft. Please register for only one per week).

Schedule as follows (Select Mondays & Tuesdays): 

June 9 & 10, June 16 & 17, June 23 & 24

July 7 & 8, July 14 & 15, July 28 & 29

Big Reads

Big Reads Storytime

Wednesdays at 10:30 & 11:30 a.m. ages 7-9

Each session will have stories, games, activities, and a craft. Parents do not need to attend but need to remain in the library during the activity. Classes last approximately 45 minutes. You do not need a library card to attend, but registration is required as class size is limited.

(Please note classes during the same week will feature the same stories, games, activities, and craft. Please register for only one per week).

Lego Club

Summer LEGO Club

Select Thursdays from 2-3 p.m. ages 6-12

Come build with us at our Summer Lego Club, held on select Thursdays from 2-3 p.m. Builders can design a project based on the prompt or let their creativity inspire a free build. Recommended for ages 6 to 12. Caregivers are welcome to attend with their children. Children under age 9 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required as space is limited.

Bad Art Night

Bad Art Night

Wednesday July 9th at 6:30 p.m.

Calling all teens and adults: come embrace your inner un-Picasso at our hilariously low-stakes art program! No talent? No problem. In fact, it's kind of the point. We'll supply the materials—you supply the glorious mess. Prizes awarded for the worst masterpieces. Let’s get creatively chaotic! Registration required as space is limited.

Comunity Quilt Activity

Community Quilt Activity

Saturday July 19th at 10:30 a.m.

Join us for a family event in collaboration with Brigham City Museum of Art & History. Learn about the art and history of quilting as well as the museum's current Aviary Quilt Exhibition. The program will include a presentation from the museum followed by a craft where attendees each get to design and make a paper quilt square for a paper community quilt. Registration required as space is limited.

Fun, Food, & Reading

Select Mondays at 2 p.m.

This FREE course is taught by Kelsey Braithwaite to explore nutrition and foods with kids ages 3-9 years old. A parent should plan to attend with their child/children. Classes will include a story, games and a healthy snack. Classes will be approximately 45 minutes. Registration required as space is limited.

Drop-in Library Activities

All summer long we will have activities at the library. No registration is required to complete these activities, all ages are welcome. All drop-in activities and art projects are first come, first serve, while supplies last. Activities will vary bi-weekly.
