Author Bios & Websites

Author: T.K. Ballingham

Author Bio:

Tiffani (T.K.) Ballingham lives in Utah with her two children and three cats. Winter is her least favorite season. She lives for summers at the pool, in the mountains, or just sitting on the porch watching the sun set. Writing has always been a passion, and thanks to some of her favorite authors creating seminars and Masterclasses, she was able to refine her craft. In November you can find her at the local library laboring with other creatives over an idea that will hopefully produce 50,000 words for NaNoWriMo.

Author: Laura Huffman

Author Bio:

Laura Huffman, author of The Gluten-Free Pantry: How to Save Time, Money, and Effort in the Kitchen, grew up in Logan, Utah, and earned a degree in Medical Technology from Utah State University. Her background in science and medicine proved invaluable when she set out to make church dinners accessible to individuals with celiac disease and food allergies. Determined to create safe and inclusive meals, she developed a gluten- and dairy-free cream soup, ensuring that casseroles could be enjoyed by everyone in her congregation.

This experience sparked her passion for adapting recipes to be allergy-friendly. In 2011, Laura founded Vivian’s Live Again, a business dedicated to providing gluten- and dairy-free products. To further enhance her offerings, she studied related food science and nutrition, allowing her to develop a wider range of high-quality products.

In her book, Laura shares the insights and expertise she has gained over 13 years in the gluten-free industry. Her goal is to empower individuals with dietary restrictions to enjoy a tastier, more convenient, and healthier lifestyle.

Author: Shawn McRory

Author Bio:

Shawn McRory grew up in Brigham City and enjoys being back in the community he was raised in. A 2008 Box Elder High School graduate, Shawn went on to get his Bachelor's in Exercise Science at Utah State University before receiving his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Eastern Washington University. He currently works as a Physical Therapist at Brigham City Community Hospital and loves it.

Shawn has always loved reading, and writing a book has been a goal of his since he was little. He made several attempts in the past, but ultimately lost interest and moved on. With six young kids at home who enjoy stories about magical adventures, Shawn finally found the motivation he needed to write a book, completing The Enchanted Archive in 2024.

When he has free time, Shawn also enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, golf, tennis, woodworking, and hiking. He is grateful for the opportunity to be part of this panel at Brigham City Public Library.
